Split PDF
Pull pages out of a PDF or cut it into separate documents directly in your browser. Click thumbnails to pick pages, or type exact ranges. Your files never leave your device. No sign-up, free.
How to split a PDF
Add your PDF
Drag and drop a PDF anywhere in the box, or click to browse. Every page appears as a thumbnail.
Pick pages or ranges
Click thumbnails to select the pages you want as one new PDF, or type ranges like 1-3, 5, 7-8 in the settings to cut the document into several files at once.
Convert and download
One range downloads as a PDF; several ranges download together as a ZIP. Everything is cut on your own device.
PDF splitting questions, answered
Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. The document is cut apart in your browser's memory. Bank statements and contracts - the files people split most - never leave your device.
What is the difference between selecting pages and typing ranges?
Selecting thumbnails extracts those pages as a single new PDF - ideal for pulling one chapter out. Typed ranges produce one PDF per range, so 1-3, 4-6 gives you two files in a ZIP.
Will the extracted pages look identical to the original?
Yes. Splitting copies pages as they are, without re-rendering: selectable text, image quality and page dimensions are all preserved.
Is there a file size or page limit?
No hard limits. Since nothing is uploaded there is no quota to hit; the practical ceiling is your device's memory, generous enough for phone books.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Not yet. Encrypted documents are detected and clearly flagged. Unlock the file in your PDF viewer first, then extract the pages you need.
