QR code questions, answered
Do these QR codes expire?
No, and they cannot. This generator makes static codes: your link or text is encoded directly into the pattern itself. Services whose free codes expire are selling dynamic codes, which route every scan through their servers - that is also how they track your scanners. Nothing here does that.
Can I put my logo in the middle?
Yes. QR codes carry built-in error correction, and the generator raises it to the highest level (30% recovery) whenever a logo is embedded, keeping the logo to about a fifth of the code's width. Codes stay reliably scannable.
Which colors are safe to use?
Keep strong contrast and keep the code darker than its background - scanners expect dark modules on a light field. Dark brand colors on white or cream work well; light-on-dark or low-contrast pairs will fail on some phones.
How does the WiFi QR code work?
It encodes your network name, password and security type in a standard format. Guests point their camera at it and join with one tap - no typing, and the password is never sent anywhere; it lives only inside the printed pattern.
PNG or SVG - which should I download?
PNG is the safe choice for documents, messengers and most print shops; pick a larger pixel size for print. SVG is a vector, so it scales to any size without blurring - ideal for designers and large-format printing.
Is anything about my QR code sent to a server?
No. The code is computed and drawn entirely in your browser, so your links, WiFi passwords and contact details never leave your device - worth knowing when the payload is a password.
